Basic Training Emergency Response Officer

The basic trainer Emergency  Response Officer  is for all employees of companies or other organizations that are required to organize Emergency Response services in the context of the Health & Safety act.

After being awarded the diploma (which is valid for a period of 1 year) the trainee can attend the annual Emergency Response Officer repetition training (1 day) to keep his/her knowledge and skills up to date and refreshed.

Introduction follow-up

After being awarded the diploma (which is valid for a period of 1 year) the trainee can attend the annual Emergency Response Officer repetition training (1 day) to keep his/her knowledge and skills up to date and refreshed.

Introduction

The Health & Safety act dictates that every employer must organize  Emergency Response services to limit the consequences of accidents and other calamities where possible. An Emergency Response Officer must attend a training to be able to perform Emergency Response Officer tasks.

In any case, the following skills from the Health & Safety Act will be addressed:
a. Providing first aid in case of accidents
b. Limiting and fighting fire and limiting the consequences of accidents
c. Alerting and evacuating all employees and other people in the company or facility in emergency situations

Contents

The structure of the course is mainly as follows:

Day 1: teaching, group assignments and practical exercises
• first aid, not urgent
• first aid, urgent: resuscitation and AED
Day 2: teaching, group assignments and practical exercises
• fire fighting
• evacuation
Usually the course day lasts from 9 AM until 4.30 / 5 PM, with a 30 minute lunch break.
There are also other options for groups.

Target audience

All employees of companies or other organizations that are required to organize Emergency Response  in the context of the Health & Safety act.

Exam/certification

After the end of course day 2, there will be a theory exam (multiple choice questions). In addition, the trainee is tested with regard to his/her competencies (skills) by the instructor. After passing the exam, the trainee will be awarded the nationally recognized diploma “Emergency Response Officer” by the NIBHV. This diploma is valid for a period of one year after the date of issuance.

Repetition Emergency Responce Officer

After being awarded the diploma (which is valid for a period of 1 year) the trainee can attend the annual Emergency Responce Officer repetition training (1 day) to keep his/her knowledge and skills up to date and refreshed. After attending 1 repetition day within 1 year, the diploma Emergency Response Officer will be renewed for a period of 1 year.

We draw up an annual schedule and automatically invite our trainees (free of obligation) for the Emergency Response Officer repetition training. We keep a close eye on the validity of the diploma of our trainees.

Exemption

Trainees who have a valid First Aid certificate by Oranje Kruis (or similar) are granted an exemption from the first aid part and shall only attend the parts firefighting and evacuation (1 day).

Group size

On average 12-14 people per course group.

Fee

€295,00 per trainee in open enrollment  (€356,95 including VAT)

The course fee includes all costs, such as:

• The book ‘Emergency Response officer training’ by the NIBHV
• Use of instruction material
• Use of experienced certified instructor including travel and accommodation costs
•Exam and certification costs of the NIBHV
•Lunch, coffee and tea, sodas and small snacks (not included if the course is organized at your own business location)
